He has no idea what its worth so this is exactly why I made the post to get value ideas. You have to be careful on something so rare

I always wonder who these friends are.

If the friend was trying to sell the card for $20,000 you would think since he is the one making the money he would be motivated enough to go on internet forums and ask hobby collectors about the value instead of a 'friend' with no interest in a card and only motivation is to help out a friend..

I guess its better than asking about a friends card that he/she inherited from an ex girlfriend/boyfriend..

Actually he is standing next to me, he has tried to get his own account on this site and nobody has approved his account in over a week. Its funny how he has already had several phone calls from serious buyers and the people posting are knocking the card down. Its clearly rare and wanted by many collectors.

I think everyone that likes cobbs will 'want' the card including me, but at the right price.

To the OP - you're going to get a lot of ball-busting with a thread like this. It's just the nature of the beast. I might recommend reaching out to one of the premier auction houses to get their thoughts on ways to maximize your return. This is one of those situations where I don't think selling on eBay or Net54 will yield the best results for you.

I wouldn't pay over $100.00 for it either but my guess is someone pays between $500.00 and $1,000.00 for it. I actually just bid you $99.99 for it on ebay. Hit the bid!!!!!!!!

Obviously an issue with registration.
They should take less than 8 business hours, generally. There is a 99% chance we/I didn't get his registration information back from an email he received upon registration. My email is at the top of every page if anyone ever needs anything. I respond quickly.
It's a nice card, best way to determine value is in a good, open auction format. Otherwise take the most offered . Happy collecting....

I think Ted just exemplified the problem with using pop reports like my post said.

We have two 1911 Sov Authentic cards on this thread and the report shows only 1.

POPs are nothing.

Hi Justin

My Cobb was graded some years ago. It looks like his Cobb was graded very recently.

It's my experience with SGC, that it usually takes up to a couple weeks for a card that they have graded to show up on their POP report listing.

Incidentally, I know of only 4 cards of Cobb with a SOVEREIGN 460 back. And, I've been tracking them for approx. 10 years. This one is # 5.
