Dear Mr. Lichtman (that is your real name, it's not Calvin....is it!)

I will not do business in that manner! This is suppozed to be a fun hobby. I have my reputations to upholdz and I will knot be thrown into the gutter with peoplez that are ruining all of humanity! Good day!

My most recent pickup, it's the dreaded T206 Lundgren variation with the partial "N." (if it looks like a dog and barks like a dog.....).

Default Love the Matty

Couldn't help myself, had to get this Matty. I know not vintage, but just picked up this Alcindor - always liked this card.

Pick-ups over the past couple of months. Getting warmed up for REA.

Got this Obak from Bob Dimand on the BST. He isn't kidding when he says he's a "centering freak". The Thompson Ice King was the last card I needed to make the set. Took two years for Tiny to show up.

These items are not in hand yet but soon I hope.
Been wanting a T205 Cobb for awhile. The Clancy and the '31-'32 Leafs team photo are from Classic Auctions who do primarily hockey and put out a catalog to rival REA or Heritage. Awesome stuff.

Default T210 Series 6 Fred Toney

My five year search is finally over, the reason a young college man like myself got into pre war card collecting has been found. Not only is it a cool card but it is of a major league star that pitched in the town I was born in! Winchester KY!

Mark: Glad you like the photo. It grabbed me by the eyeballs when I saw it up for auction. Eight of the fourteen skaters are in the Hockey HOF plus Conn "If you can't beat 'em in the alley" Smythe and Coach Dick Irvin. Many say goalie Chabot should be enshrined, too. An awesome roster.

Batter67up -

Nice Ruth Exhibit. I have always thought the 1920's Ruth Exhibit cards are the best looking Ruth cards out there - helluva value when you can find them - trick is finding them.

Default Missing Red?

Sharp, white, 50/50, my kinda card!

Lips and cheeks seem to indicate missing red when comparing to other Weimers.

No worries.....just crack it open and take a blush color from the crayon box and feather over ever so gently. You know, just like they did with the Plank card

Today's mail brought these...

The little item on the right is a George Burke photo stamp (uncataloged...for now) of Zeke Bonura.

The York Caramel Sheely (pictured on the left & used for size reference) will hopefully upgrade the SGC 40 Mostil that I currently have in my type set.

Many thanks to Larrupin' Lew Lipset for this 1907 Postcard of Hugh Duffy by J.L & C.H. Seddon, photographed by a guy named Walford at a newspaper called The Tribune. According to Lew, there are 18 cards in the set. Sadly, he charged me more than the price listed on the back.

Thanks Tim.

It is a Venezuelan issue. Here is a link to the Old Cardboard page -- http://www.oldcardboard.com/foreign/...cardsetID=1308

This one is not as nice as the Rivera, but at least he is happy.

Jeff,

I don't know specifically who the other players are in the postcard set. But they should be all from the 1907 Providence RI team.

Default Nice stuff this month!

Wow, I've seen alot of nice stuff on this month's pick up thread. Of course, next month's will be even bigger with REA!

Matthew, Thanks for the info on those awesome looking Venezuelan cards.

Peter, Thanks for your compliments on my E98s. Your welcome on those E90-2s I sold you... best of luck getting the rest of the set. I didn't bid on either Jennings. I already have a SGC 30 Red Jennings, but I personally think the Jennings is one of the Hall of Famers that I personally see the least for sale anywhere.
Best Wishes everyone!
Tim
