Default 1991 Wild Card Stripe

Does anyone still collect these 1991 Wild Card stripe football cards these days? I ran across a small lot of them that were old store inventory. Some big price tags on some of them but they were priced more than 20 years ago. There's one 1000 stripe, a coupe 100's a few 50's then 20's and 10's.

I sort of still do, although last time I really looked on Ebay, they seemed to be a bit more than I wanted to pay.

I have a few and wouldn't mind getting a few more HOFers.

I'll have to post what I have. I don't think they are anything special and the condition on the bottom border of every card is rough. It was funny seeing the old price stickers on them. I think the 1000 stripe was a Mecklenburg and was priced at $125. Some of the 100 stripe were $30-50. I know these haven't been touched since the late 90's if not before.

Those must have been done right at the height of their popularity.
Best I ever got in a pack was a 100, and I was pretty excited.

I guess they ran for a few years. I bought a collection last year that had a ton of 90s junk in it and found one stripe, a 1993 Aikman 50.

Default Favre

1991 was Brett Favre's rookie year and he is shown in a Falcons uniform. The striped cards of Favre sell for decent money.

Sorry I paused on this post. So I got out the old stripe cards....pretty rough shape. Of course nothing special.

So after reading all the comments, I got curious and picked up a box on Ebay. I think it was $60 plus shipping and of course got some Ebay bucks back. Figure I could blow that on 3 blasters and also end up with nothing. As noted, the collation was laughable. Never seen anything so bad. Basically like 2-3 of the same player in each pack. each section of the box seemed to change. Opened the upper left hand and I got 7 Barry Sanders cars. Nothing to speak of in the upper right or lower left. The first pack in the lower right I got a Favre and thought this could be ok. It was the only one. I got the following 8 stripe cards with nothing better than a 50 stripe. It was a fun rip!
