Default One too many baths for Babe?

The colors on this card are usually leaping off the cardboard.

A lucky board member already took it at this year's National. I am on the hunt for one that is a tad bit nicer (*and it was/is a great card to start with) and still my avatar for the moment.

Card was obviously exposed to light over a long period of time. Even the flip has faded. Compare the color of the flip to another PWCC PSA card and you'll see the difference in the redness.

Default Missing.....

It is missing a color pass. Red is my guess like another board member stated. If it had sat in the sun that long, the borders would also be discolored to an extent. It just looks too even to be sun discoloration. Its possible it sat in the sun but who in there right mind would do such a thing? I realize it could have been displayed near a window but my money is on missing a layer or 2 of color.
Whoever paid that much has a few things missing upstairs and now has over $10,000 missing from his or her wallet!
Peace, Mike

It's an old PSA flip - could it have been graded 20 years ago and been sitting out exposed to sunlight, to result in that appearance? Just trying to think of how a card with that appearance gets a 7...

I'm less interested in why it got a 7 than I am about how the hell it got $10,600.00. Man, those flips make people do some crazy shit.

At about 5% of the price, this PSA graded beater has better color and a lot more character:

I certainly agree thought that "Ruth is among the most iconic athletes in the history of sports and has an immense following."

Actually, it looks like it's missing red ink to me, which is fascinating.
