Default W514 Jackson - 2 good 2 be true?

Posted By: ted

Can't decide if i should have any reservations about this... don't know too much about the series, other than they are hand cut... (although i'm learning) but my guess is the front doesn't look right to me..the color seems a bit off..but i really don't know.

The guy is upfront and with the nice rounded corners and such i just gotta guess this one is fake...what do you guys think?

"Because of the rarity and the method of aquistion, this card is being sold as unauthenticated, a possible reprint or possibly altered"...what more are you looking for?

anyone could reprint it. My main complaint about it is how dingey it looks! Not phony; dingey.

I'm inclined to say reprint but it's just too difficult to tell with that image. I guess it's possible the seller has never seen a W514 before and doesn't think it looks like an ordinary baseball card.

there are 3 for sale on ebay now.2 are from sellers who sell vintage cards and the one you are talking about. 2 i know are real and i think this one looks ok, but as mentioned in the first response that discription could mean reprint. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=86841&item=5203610162 the seller did just purchase a black sox player strip card from ebay (i bought one from this seller also but it is yet to arrive)

If the seller is not sure that his card is real, I generally agree with him, and don't bid.
