Just read a little in the news. They are trying to figure it out at this point. Scary doesn’t begin to describe it.

Prior to getting a newer Samsung phone I was unaware of such a thing as a "Presidential Alert"! All the other alerts can be manually turned off but not that one

Hawaii Gov. David Ige told CNN that human error caused the alert to go out.
"It was a mistake made during a standard procedure at the change over of a shift, and an employee pushed the wrong button," he said

So there you have it.

Seems like sending out that warning would be more that just pushing the wrong button...wow, what a button though.

Exactly...even my crappy email asks me twice if I want to delete a message. They may want to mix that technology into their system.....just a thought.

I had the same thought. It would have had to have gone something like this:

Are you sure you want to send out an Imminent Incoming Missile Warning? Yes.

Are you really sure? Yes.

Are you sure you're sure? Yes.

Message sent.
