Default Help Dating a 19th Century Cabinet

Hi guys. Picked up a very nice team cabinet today. Would appreciate some opinions on dating the photo. I was thinking mid 1880's but really not sure.

I was taking a closer look at the photo and spotted what I think is a glove. Possibly 1870's?

I am not expert but handled quite a few 1800s items. I like your first guess better...but late 1870s to 1880s seems about right, given the uniforms, glove, bats etc...Others on here might be able to pinpoint it more. But I think you are in the right genre....

Thanks for the input guys! I am going to attempt some research and really hoping to be able to identify a couple players that could possibly link the photo to Toronto's first entry into the Eastern League or International Association.

The mustaches were more fashionable in the 1880's.

I love this photo - well-composed, beautiful albumen print with all the equipment examples you could want. It does have an initial appearance of being older, but I agree - mid 1880's.
