It's amazing what one can do with a cup of coffee and a fingernail clipper.

1. You can fly coast to coast for like $300 round trip. Is that too much to pay to validate a card that is potentially worth thousands?

2. I think Parsippany NJ is on the east coast. . . Ever heard of SGC?

3. Why is it that every Wagner for sale is alway blurred? That's not at all suspicious. . .

4. I dig the black lettered front . . .

A good rule of thumb is to not buy a T206 Wagner online, or anywhere else, if the seller himself doesn't know if it's real.

In defence of the seller, he makes it clear that he has no clue if it's real or not. However, I would suggest that he does not beleive it's real or, for the potential $50,000-$60,000 payoff, he would do as Adam suggests. I do not find it plausable that if he thought it was likely worth that amount of money (and you know he's checked the auction results), he would put it on eBay with a minimum bid of $500, one marginal picture and such a lousey description. At least with the production value (and website!) for the 'blue eye premier', one had a sense that seller might be sincere (if not altogether there).
