Default My T206 journey.......

Hello everyone. I am a newer member here joining a few months ago. Not really sure how I found the site. I do believe someone told me about it. Anyway, I started collecting T206 Highlanders last October. I don't even know what made me spark an interest for them. Got my first one which was a Hal Chase PSA 1. I was in love. Well, almost a year later, I am down to needing 3 more Highlanders to complete that set. I am now starting to drift onto other players. These cards are like a drug. Just purchased my first few Mathewsons, Cobb and Johnson last week. Oh no! Whats next? Wagner? Anyway, I really enjoy the board and all the pics that everyone throws up. Thanks to anyone that has helped me out on here.

Joe,

Great beginning............thanks for sharing but next time, don't be afraid to post some pictures.

In a constant effort to be the bestest' baseball card forum in the entire universe, here is something you won't see on the other sites ....

The Journey

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice --
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do --
determined to save
the only life you could save.

Default Welcome Joe

You are right , they are sort of like a drug. As soon as you get a new one, you are thinking about the next

It sounds like you have already picked up some good ones. Always great to see more T206 collectors come on board !!!

Sincerely,Clayton

Frank,
I will be honest, I don't know what they are. And I probably don't want to find out
