Do you think these programs were scored by the same hand?

Hi Doug! Yes it looks the same to me. The 9's and k's are sort of unique.

Same. Quite a long time between those games!

Thought the Gs were very telling. Exact same long stem sticking off it (for lack of the actual technical term). Strikes me as unique but I am no expert in handwriting.

Thank you all for the opinions.

35 years between scorecards, with very similar handwriting and very similar scoring style, and an ebay seller who says "I've had them for a long time. I may have gotten some from the same source but I couldn't tell you when they were scored. I just assumed at the games."

I would like to own both of those games, and it is certainly possible that the same person was at both games, but I think I will have to pass.

The search continues...
Doug

Let's turn this into a game of it's own...

First one to date the two games gets a double thumbs up, and the respect and admiration of all who like to date scored programs.

Ready, set, go!

Dodgers program is 8/31/50 and the Yankees program is 8/4/85?

First the backwards K's look like a different hand to me, I do agree that the other letter's mentioned above look very close.

Very consistent handwriting. I would give it a thumbs up. However, it's a little odd because I know that even my own handwriting isn't that consistent if I look back at it over 30 years ago.

Although possible the same guy, 35 years apart, seems more likely someone tired to fake it.

Stephen - that reminds me of an incident you came across, where, if I recall, you had two of the same game scorecards, but they were scored differently, and it appeared one guy tried to make a copy of the scored game, but made a mistake or couldn't read the original scorecard.

Ha, be careful, he might put you to work hanging speakers from the roof of the arena.
