Having been naughty, I don't expect much...

But a T210 series 6 of Mr. Goostree, leaning on his bat, in G - VG condition, that would be such a fine present!

I have been a REALLY good boy this year so I'd love Santa to leave me an Oxford Confectionery Cobb in gd-vg.

My Christmas wish is fairly easy, I'd simply like a mid to high grade copy of a Charlie Ganzel Old Judge with Detroit. If that's not possible, any Detroit Old Judge I haven't yet obtained would do.

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

I would love a Fan for a Fan Baker to cool me off on this warm California Christmas. Oooh and if we are asking I wouldn't mind a few N172's off my want list too in the old stocking this year.

I had always thought it would be a good idea to have a place where wifes or significant others of collectors would be able to go or be emailed a want list of item there significant other wants, where to get it at and what to pay for them. Maybe that would be a good idea for vintage price online thing to do? No offense vintage price I just forgot the name for a minute here (Man I am getting old).

Just one?

1923 Bottomley Exhibit or an E98 Jack Coombs. Not both, but either one will do!

T206 Walter Johnson portrait. PSA 3 will work just fine. I'm not gonna give the old guy ( or for me that matter) a heart attack asking for a 6 or 7.

People said it was a million dollar wound. But the government must keep that money, cause I ain't never seen a penny of it.

Trevor -

If I can't find a place to buy the cards I want, how the hell is my wife going to be able to find them?

Oh, and I want a 1953-54 Briggs Meats Duke Snider or Willie Mays.

A couple of set completers like the E90-1 Jackson or the T205 Holitzell no stats would be welcomed. I'd settle for a nice vgex E94 color variation which I don't presently have or a 1911 Zeenut Halla (asking for the Bohen would be too much, even for the big guy).
Thanks Santa!

Well Santa, here are a couple of ideas:

- a t206 Drum back of an HOFer
- a nice e90-1 Jackson (SGC 40 or above; wearing lipstick rather than having a bloody nose)

I broke my bat on Johnny's head.
Somebody snitched on me.
Hid a frog in siter's bed.
Somebody snitched on me.
Spilled some ink on Mommy's rug.
I made Tommy eat a bug.
Bought some gum with a penny slug.
Somebody snitched on me.

Put a tack on teacher's chair.
Somebody snitched on me.
Tied a knot in Suzy's hair.
Somebody snitched on me.
Did a dance on Mommy's plants.
Climb a tree and tore my pants.
Filled the sugar bowl with ants.
Somebody snitched on me.

Won't be seeing Santa Clause.
Somebody snitched on me.
Won't come visit me because.
Somebody snitched on me.
Next year I'll be going straight.
Next year I'll be good, just wait.
I'd start now but it's too late.
Somebody snitched on me.

I'm getting nuttin' for Christmas.
Mommy and Daddy are mad.
I'm getting nuttin' for Chrismas
'Cause I ain't been nuttin' but bad.

-- The Hellblinki Sextet

My only wish is to get this darn song out of my head .....

For me it would have to be the 1914 Cracker Jack Mathewson, what a great one year pose.

Either one of the 1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig's would be just fine for me. Low grade is just fine. Thats not asking too much is it?

It would take a small miracle, indeed, to be
able to acquire and or require our “Big 8”
Those items were

1.1915 Cracker Advertising Poster – from Rob Lifson in 1981

2 1888 Round Album poster – from Herman Kauffman in 1984

3.Just So of Chief Zimmer -outbid in a 1992 Woffer’s auction

4.Complete set of near mint to mint N-43’s from legendary
dealer Tom Collier 1982

5.Complete set of Texas Tommy’s from a retired collector
who still has them 1989

6.The Mathewson Garter Rob auctioned for us in 2004

7.Set of Duke Cabinets from George Lyons . They were
$1600 for the set back in 1979

8. The 1933 Tattoo Orbit Set, 1933 Goudey Set and 1934 Goudey
set that we acquired for a total of $2500 (all near mint-mint cards)
from Cliff Lambert back in 1979

Dave,

Let's make it more difficult, narrow it done to one card that you might be able to afford some day.

Mike,

I'm in a worst situation than you are in, I know the dealer that has the 1933 Goudey Foxx that I'm looking for.

Now all I have to do is pull together all my sources of revenue and rush to his shop before he sells the card to someone else. Fat chance...but hope springs eternal.

Peter
