Default Happy 89th Birthday Bob Uecker!

In honor of Bob's birthday, here is a scored program from his 4th (of 14) career homers.

This one came off of Sandy Koufax

At least I can spell Schoendienst!

When I first read the title I misread the "E" I think Euk would appreciate that.

Heck yes, he's iconic. Right up there with Red Barber, Mel Allen, Vin Scully...all of them. Here's wishing him a happy birthday!

That card plagued my 1965 set build. It ended up being one of the last cards I acquired. I am a budget collector, so I stick to pretty firm rules of thumb to how much I will spend. Ueck's card always sold for well above book value even in rough condition. It took me forever to find one priced like the high number common of a lifetime negative WAR player should be priced.

Every time I lost an auction for one of his cards, usually by a significant amount, I would say to myself:

I know I have posted it before, but here again is Bob with his first appearance on Carson after getting his Brewer's role (9/23/71)...its classic Bob.
