Jim,

It is a joke...there have been lots of discussions of PSA missing the boat on cards with "micro-trimming", and talk of trimming on some high-profile PSA cards like the Gretzky Honus Wagner. So the joke is that PSA sure caught this one...half the card is missing...

Cheers,
Blair

I heard that Bill Mastro practiced on this one before he got his hands on the Wagner.

Why would someone spend money to get that graded? If it's a holder they want there's big toploaders that cost a lot less.

I'd call it natural variance, just like all the other sharp cornered small bordered cards I see.

Because now they can use it as a coaster. It's a hell of a conversation piece.

there actually is a sarcasm font on the forum. To use it, include your text in between tags with the word "sarcasm."
details:
Put a left square bracket, then the word sarcasm, then a right square bracket, then your text and then close your tag with a left square bracket, a forward slash, the word sarcasm and a right square bracket.

Easiest thing to do with Jeff is assume it's all sarcasm.

One tip is that with Jeff and Rob, by default you should assume their post is sarcastic and only when impossible to read sarcastically should you read it normally. Everyone else is a bit tougher to know.

Default trimmed?

Good thing they put it in that holder for a minute there I thought it was the ultra rare boarderless T3 proof Cobb that there are only 3 in the whole world and this is the only one graded on the whole planet!

I wonder how many graders it passed before one of them figured out it was trimmed... (assume a sarcastic font)

Are you guys sure this card is trimmed?

I thought PSA only used this certification number for trimmed cards-

00000001

I could be wrong though.
