Default T206 Mission Accomplished....all-SWEET CAPORAL, Factory #30 set.... includes Plank

An all - SWEET CAPORAL, Factory #30 set comprises of 469 subjects. And, of course, Wagner is the 469th guy.

But, now that I have the Eddie Plank, I'm content to say...." this set of mine is complete with 468 subjects ".

. .

Series ...... Subjects

150 ............. 153
350 ............. 270
460 ............... 46
---------------------
Total ............ 469 subjects

Listed here are the 55 - No Prints in this set......

Joe Doyle NY Nat'l
Lundgren (Cubs)
Magie
Demmitt (St Louis American)
O'Hara (St Louis Nat'l)
Kleinow (Boston)
F.Smith (Chicago & Boston)
48....Southern Leaguers

A sampling of some of this set's stars. Followed by back scans of their respective Series......

.

I originally embarked on this adventure back in 2006; and, I achieved a 467 -card subset. Then I sold half of the cards.
In recent years, I renewed my interest in completing this sub-set, so here it is.

Awesome, Ted! How many complete T206 'type' sets does that make now?

Missed you at the National this year. So close, and yet... Hope to see you in Chi-town!

You ask an interesting question....Taylor. Here are the complete (or near complete) T206 sub-sets in my collection......

All--PIEDMONT set = 519 cards (missing Joe Doyle, Plank, Wagner).

All--SOVEREIGN set = 408 cards COMPLETE.

All--SWEET CAPORAL, Factory #30 set = 468 cards (missing Wagner).

All--AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 set = 72 cards (of 74), (missing Camnitz & Larry Doyle).

All brands--T206 set = 514 cards [missing 5 commons, Elberfeld (Washington), Joe Doyle, Magie, Plank, Wagner].

And yes, I hope to be in "Chi-town" next Summer.

Congrats Ted! Especially on adding that Plank. It's an absolute beauty.

Did you get any of the cards from the scrap sheet of SC 350/460 fact 42 OP that didn't get the Overprint (sold by ebay seller kwb1b)? Not at all necessary, but it would be cool to have one or two of the fact 30 no prints along with your complete set. I haven't seen any for sale in the last year though, so it seems they are either absorbed into collections or maybe they'll be in REA soon or another AH.

And, it was great seeing you up in Cooperstown HOF weekend.

Now for our favorite subject....1952 Topps mid-series gray-backs.

Email me, as I have some interesting news regarding these mysterious cards for you to ponder.

I'm not a huge T206 guy, but I'm super impressed with this accomplishment! And your Plank is simply unbelievable!! Beautiful card! And your T-Bird isn't half bad either... Congrats!

Hey all you guys....again, I would like to express my appreciation for all your kind words.

Hey Derek G.

When you need a respite from your HOF Rookie collecting and/or your Helmar Stamps collecting, try collecting T206's.
You may find them intriguing

I collect variety of stuff......but, especially T-cards and T-Birds.

Here's my year around T-Bird....1960 Hardtop (4-seater).

Default Congrats

Ted...quite a feat of collecting dedication.

Are you planning on taking on the master set for Sweet Caporal factory 30, which would include all the 150 series and 350 series cards in the 150/350 print group, and the 350 and 460 series cards in the 350/460 super print group? That would be an accomplishment of extra Monster proportions.

Hi Brian

I appreciate your kind words.

I'm happy with my present structure of the 468 unique subjects with their respective 150, 350, 460 Sweet Cap backs.

I will leave it to others, who would take on the challenge of putting together a Master Set of these Factory #30 cards.

I'm already contemplating my next T206 adventure.
