Default Question about E107 Breisch-Williams card

Posted By: Adam J. Baxter

I came across this E107 Garvin on eBay and wanted to know if it's typical for E107's to have an original cut like this? This isn't an indictment of the seller or anything, I'm just curious as I considered bidding on it. I've read a few things on this set, but haven't yet collected any and I figured that someone on the board might have some info.

Regards,
Adam

Default Question about E107 Breisch-Williams card

Posted By: scott brockelman

adam,

i think what dan is trying to say is that someone cut the card with scissors or soemthing, it is probably not "hand cut" at the factory. the bottom looks a bit more ragged. i have seen several e107's with a consistent short cut onthe right side that probably is a factory miscut, i believe an e107 davis is or was up on ebay, for sale by steve verkman, that had the nonexistent right border and i know that it was a legit card as it came from a large group i purchased 2-3 years ago.

at any rate it has a great image and anyone looking for an inexpensive type card might like this one, as g/vg examples have brought up to $400 on ebay in the last 6 months
