Default Sweet Caporal Cigs - Large Crate - common?

Hope the card collectors don't mind a memorabilia post over here. I don't collect cards but ran across the large Sweet Caporal ciggarette crate today while junking. Its 2 feet by 4 feet (approx) Is this a common item? Thanks!

Having not seen one before I might question whether its authentic. The crate def. looks old, given the appearance of the boards and nails in the second photo but the printing looks too new and uniform.

I might have seen "one" before but they definitely aren't common. Unfortunately its size and simplicity don't really make it a great display piece for most collectors, which will have a negative effect on it's value. Just my thoughts....Thanks for sharing.. I do love tobacciana stuff.....Here are a few of my favorites...

Default Thanks

Thanks gents!

My wife thought it might make an interesting side or coffee table, with a glass top added. I walked away from the item as the price was steep, but I may make an offer next week (assuming the buried location will keep it unsold until then).

It definitely could make a cool table with a piece of glass on top of it. Good luck and let us know if you end up getting it. My comment was based solely on it being for display, but as a table, it could be neat.
