Default What would you bid on this card? ( eBay)

Posted By: Bob S

Hi folks,

I need to know what your bid would be on this T206 (raw).

(front)

(back)

I really don't have the energy (Lyme) to send my cards to the graders, so keep that in mind.

Thanks very much.

Bob

I would bid 85 and hope I get it for less. I got a similiar card for 72 after shipping but it was graded.

hi Bob

hope you get to feeling better.

i note a large crease across the card.
i also note its being off center.
some minors 'spots' here and there.
the colors are bright and the back is quite clean.
presents well.
probably an sgc 40 or 30--the corners help lean me toward the 40.
i'd guess $80 or so.

all the best,

barry

...the top border looks slanted to me in a way that the bottom doesn't. I'm not saying it is trimmed, but if the card would otherwise grade a VG with that crease and be worth up to, say $100-$120, I would apply a discount because it is raw with a questionable top border. I would be uncomfortable paying more than $60 for that card, and would much prefer $40-$50.

Thanks, guys.

I got $41, which says to me I've got to get my vintage stuff slabbed or accept about 50% (Not to mention the 20% consignment cost).

You verified my estimate (fear).

Thanks, again, very much.

Bob

Very good points. In a bizarre way, I don't feel as bad, now.

a couple years ago that was a $30-$40 card all the time on eBay, its a bit more now but $40 its too bad. The crease kills the value.
