Default Player/Card checklist

Posted By: James Gallo

Is there anyplace that listed all of a players major issue. I am speaking of pre war cards.

I ask because I was about to list my extra Boston Store William Blady Louden on ebay when I looked up his stats.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/l/loudeba01.shtml

Based on the years he played he can't have too many cards except the Boston Store and the Collins McCarthy.

Based on this do you think the value would be higher. I recently got killed on a card and the seller told me that it was because that player didn't have many cards and as a result was in much higher demand. Has anyone tracked this for pre war cards.

Looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks and 1909-11 American Caramel E90-1.

Beckett did an alphabetical checklist of all players' pre & post war cards a couple of years ago. The information is fairly accurate and provides probable the best resource for you.

James,
William Louden has two cards listed: D328 - #101 and E135 - #101. On E135 it does not differentiate the back types.

Default Player/Card checklist

I just got my CD of the 2008 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards Vintage Edition ( 1863-1980). With my search I found the following Louden cards: 1917 Weil Baking Co (D328), 1917 Standard Biscuit (D350-=2), 1917 Boston Store ( H801-8), 1917 Collins-McCarthy ( E135), 1916 Mothers Bread ( D303) - This is not his pitcher on the card.

This is great for searching a specific player.
