Yeah and the blackburn ended just over $1800. Both were bid up by a guy with 18 feedback and 100% bid activity. The Dahlen ended near $400. A bit to high IMO

Donohue ended at $668. They were some nice cards though, but agree, prices were high on some cards.

$565 for the Joss. Imo the Grant was a decent deal for the buyer.

A T205 Drum in a PSA 5 should have brought much much more, were these sold on Ebay? Links?

Those prices were a steal. They had boldly printed backs, unusual for t205 Drums. Congrats to the winner. I thought for sure Scott would be in on them. Sorry you didn't see them.

Ed,

I wish I had, but I no longer bother with Ebay. I predict those will be flipped for 2-3's the money.

The joss was exceptionally nice for the grade. I dropped out about $100 below what it fetched.

On the Joss it was one of those things. I passed on a nice 4 at Chantilly for $1200...it didn't really fit the grade of my set. But when a 1 MC goes for almost half that you have to ask if you made the right decision.

Seriously? $6-10k for the Bridwell? Not arguing, I just can't believe there are folks who didn't see it that would pay 3x in say REA or another auction.

Yes, I too feel that is a $7500 card in the correct venue, which ebay wasn't. Seller lost a ton of money imo.....

Wow, I stand corrected. I know both of you guys are pretty good at estimating stuff like that. Is it the promotion? Big$ collectors not using ebay?

Correct. Many folks don't have the time or energy to wade through all of the crap on ebay. They just won't do it. A lot of the folks that pay stout prices would rather go to auctions that only offer good items. At least they aren't wasting their time (which is money) looking at grandpa's attic finds and pseudo-Craig's list specials. I do still use ebay to buy sometimes because there are some good things....but many, many folks don't do it anymore. Just my opinion and others might feel differently. regards

The irony is if people stop looking at ebay, and good items start to sell for below what they are worth...that will draw people back to ebay again. Prices can't stay below market for too long.

I can't afford big auction items. I also buy to collect, not to flip it for a profit.
I like it when ebay items go cheaper then similar at a big auction.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm a small time bidder and I don't even bother with eBay..... but I must say that the prices on all those nice cards seem fair.

T-205 common prices really haven't changed much over the years with the exception of PSA 5s. Those used to fetch $95-$100 most days several years back. Now the market is bearing less. PSA 4s and 3s are about the same.

Nice cards.

Default Just because a guy has an 18 feedback doesn't mean it a shill

In fact, it means that it's me

I was sadly the underbidder on the drum '5' - prob. should have gone a bit higher. But I did win the drum '4.5'.

Best,
Scott

In my opinion, the Bridwell price seemed about right.

The Blackburne was an absolute steal. Congrats to the Levy's on that one.

But the biggest surprise to me was the ending price on the Wilhelm "suffe ed".

Somebody must have really wanted that card.

Scott, congrats on the Drum 4.5. That was a very nice card and you did get it for a good price.

Personally, I never viewed going through the T205 category on Ebay a waste of time, I view it daily to keep up on prices.

I am sure the buyer who saved thousands didn't mind wading either.

Matt

Sweet. Glad you got one. Must not bid alot on ebay then. Just for the record I never said anything about shilling. I backed off early on both.

Congrats, Scott. Well done. That Blackburne was a great buy. Thanks for confirming that (18) was not a shill bidder. I had bid on the Bridwell card but dropped out early. I had other plans, so missed the end of those 2 ebay auctions.

PSA4 Drum Stone just ended at 1725$ about in line with the Blackburne. I wonder if there are any more?

That one was not nearly as good a deal as the first two. It should have been a 2.5 due to the corner crease.
