Default partial "S" Nodgrass

This was destined to be a Beantown giveaway. Though I'm thinking it may be pretty scarce. Aint it a beauty?

Slight edge of the S can be seen. PM350

Looks like the Nodgrass to me, although I'm not entirely sure.

Pretty sure that's the real deal variation. It is known to have that slight bit of the S appearing next to Nodgrass on true error cards. Plus I doubt there was any funny business going on in the good doctor's collection. Nice find.

Looks good to me too, the authentic cards do have slight remnants of the "S"

But I also do think the card is extremely overrated, its a print flaw, not a man made error like the Magee/Magie.

If you really look close Im sure you can find small print flaws for every single subject in T206, even though they wouldnt be as obvious as a caption flaw like the "(S)nodgrass"

Because Steve's card is so worn & scuffed in the S area is any grader going to OK it as the error?

Trying to sell raw might bring up alot of skepticism, let alone ALOT of lost $$.

Steve's card is good. I would still like to hold it to be 100% but this card should grade as the error Snodgrass by any TPG. You can clearly see the partial S.
All the legitimate ones I have seen have the partial S.

Also realize that the Snodgrass is only recognized because someone added to the checklist years ago. It is no different than Jaybirds Sullivan. The set is riddled with these errors/mishaps, just some are more noted and sought after.

It's asinine how we all spend excessive sums to have a silly piece of old paper. Seems these ego's are perpetually famished.

One of the Egyptians in the chat room went by the handle Newt Randall. It's starting to make sense.
