Default But the Catalog

Will be STRONG

Rich

IN all seriousness, it will be a fun read to look at items I'll never own in 99 percent of these cases. The other one percent; which I have owned at some point in my life -- will never be owned again either

I may have to sue Lifson for mental anguish and personal bankruptcy after viewing this auction. Anyone interested in a class action deal or want to join?

The way cards values are I am not sure if you buy them you could then declare bankruptcy. When I got my SBA loan 8 yrs ago my cards were scheduled as assets. (unfortunately a bit too much relative to other things)

Leon, joking on bankruptcy but serious about the mental anguish suit.

Lichtman will you handle the case?

Lot 95 - the Westervelt photo - that is major leaguer General Stafford. The same image was used in an 1892 LA California League team composite.

Default Unopened pack

How about that unopened pack of Dockman's Star Player Candy. Pretty amazing to have an unopened pack from 1929.

Wasn't there an entire box of those found a few years back?

Just curious ---but do we know who the " extremely advanced collector " was that has consigned the entire T210 set to the auction ?

I like the fact that they threw in an N173 McPhee at the end as an afterthought. I was expecting to turn the page and find a W600 Branch Rickey.

Maybe it's an internet only lot that was a late addition?

I think I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist from clicking the "watch this lot" button so often. Lots of outstanding items, should be a fantastic auction.

Dang! I have not even finished going thru last years yet. Do items get "lost" in such a huge auction with so many amazing items or is so much attention on it hardly anything falls through the cracks? Leon, does the traffic here go down here when the online catalog is launched. I know I have been spending most of my free time trying to get a head start looking for items I wish I could bid on and win. Already have the got the 8th of May off of work. Once again Mr. Lifson, and his team, have put together an amazing auction!

Default Item 225

This Magie card I owned until 1998. I purchased it in 1984 for $800 when I was a senior in high school in Danville Virginia. I sold it and the rest of my collection via a Superior Sports auction. I was such a auction novice that I did not realize they were going head to head with a couple of " better" auction houses.

Damn I miss that card and need it again for my new set !!

Yes, that's what happened. Still an incredible card that should be trumpeted.

Default T210 Old Mill Joe Jackson

The description states that Lot #1 is probably the second highest grade T210Old Mill Joe Jackson in circulation.

Does anyone know what the highest graded example is, or have a photo?

Tony

It looks like they've already opened the auction? I was just looking at the preview, and saw that some bids had been placed, so I put some bids down myself.
