Default How Did This Grade Happen?

This card appears stained and, from the scan, appears to be trimmed. How, by any sense of the imagination, is this an 80?

I think you are being kind when you say it appears to be trimmed. SGC did that one. I wonder when it was graded ?

Even if it weren't trimmed I would grade that a 30. And since it is trimmed that would ultimately be 30 points too high. What were they thinking?

I guess surgically enhanced corners trump a dingy image. Ridiculous.

How can you guys even see enough to judge the grade? The scan is so dark when I click on it I wouldn't even know if it's a card or a grapefruit.

I submitted the card about 8 years ago. When I sold it it definately did not get an 80 price. As far as it being trimmed it didn't appear like it to me with all the whacky cuts that OJ's come in. Jay obviously is a better eye for this on this issue. It amazed me that it got as high a grade as it did with the light image.
