Default 1916 Red Sox Program - Ruth and Joe Jackson

Scored program from May 13, 1916 game between the Red Sox and Chicago White Sox at Fenway Park. Babe Ruth listed among the Red Sox reserve players. The White Sox roster includes 6 future Black Sox: Joe Jackson, Hap Felsch, Buck Weaver, Eddie Cicotte, Lefty Williams, and Fred McMullen. Eddie Cicotte actually was the starting pitcher for this game and the original owner penciled his name in as the starter. Joe Jackson is in the pre-printed starting lineup playing right field and batting 5th. The program is neatly scored in pencil.

The program format is a simple foldover type. The program has 3 horizontal fold lines from probably being folded and placed in a pocket. There is a tiny half inch tear on the right border of the front cover. On the inside a vintage repair has been made to the program as there are 3 pieces of scotch tape that have browned over the decades. Was probably to reinforce the spine which is firm

Please email any questions. Price $550 shipped and insured.
