Default Books about the deadball era

I was looking for a good book or two on the "Deadball" era. Stories about Chief Meyers, John McGraw, Ty Cobb etc., Pre-black sox baseball. Anybody have any suggestions? or places where I can pick one up?

Is a great start towards learning about the Deadball Era.

In addition, there is a very active Deadball chapter in SABR -- if you join SABR contact Tom Simon (TPSimon@aol.com) and he can give you more leads as well

Enjoy the period and there is SOOO much one can learn about that time in baseball history

I also enjoyed Al Stump's biography of Cobb simply titled "Cobb: A Biography". Stump had a very wild ride keeping up with Cobb when he worked with him in the late 50s and the book records Cobb's "colorful" side in depth.

I think the book published from the Baseball series produced by Ken Burns is an excellent resource.
