The SOVEREIGN 460 red Cobb is extremely rare....only 4 have been confirmed.






I'm not sure how many 1910 Coupon (T213-1) Cobb's are out there; but, these "gems"
are extremely rare.
I would bet there are more Red Cobb/Ty Cobb cards in circulation than this Coupon one.

This is the only example I have ever seen... I know he has an Atlanta Colgan Tin Top which is rare as well. Harry split time between Atlanta and Nashville in 1912-13, while winning back to back Southern League Batting Titles. I always get a charge out of looking down the list of Southern Batting Champs and seeing Speaker in 1907, Jackson in 1910, and Welchonce in 1912 and 1913...

As for the holy grail for Cobb collectors...hmm...I'd have to say that it is the Boston Garter color card which Hunt auctioned off a couple years back.

I'm not passionate about Cobb cards, but he is one of the players I collect.

The Clement Bros. is by far my favorite cobb card.

Not for me because it has a front similar to the T206...the BG is just so different from any Cobb card..and it looks beautiful. I was the underbidder but am confident I would have never outbid the guy who won it...so that helps...a bit.

They are: 1904 Allegheny Frank Selee, 1902 W600 Hugh Jennings as a player with Philadelphia, T5 Pinkerton of Joe McCarthy as a player, Acebo (Cuban) of Chuck Connors, and Imperial Chocolate (Cuba) of Ruth and Hornsby.

Not sure how rare my Obak Ten Million card is....but, in terms of the "law of supply vs demand", this card
in my opinion is in effect....a "RARE" card.

Not one of the E95 notebook cover Chances (they all have Chicago at the bottom). The NY name means it was issued or prepared to be issued or proofed to be part of a new but never issued set years after the E95 set was issued. Two others exist, a Kling Boston (mine) and one other which belongs to Keith Olberman (drawing a blank).

I believe the player in the "top CdV" is Johnny Ryan. Along with this Warren CdV, he is also pictured on a Warren cabinet in full Boston uniform. This is interesting because he never played for Boston. Maybe others can solve this apparent mystery.

I believe Scott Forest addressed Ryan and his interesting career in a publication years ago but I don't remember the exact details.
