Default T206 Plank PSA 7 on ebay

Once again I apologize for my lack of computer skills, as I can't provide you all with the link to this auction. It is for the PSA 7 Plank from the Harris Collection. The opening bid is $500, and it is being sold by a seller with zero feedback. I assume that the seller took a scan of the card from somewhere online, and is planning on disappearing with whatever high bid he receives.

But for those of you who are still reading this thread, you should check ebay for this card. The seller's description is the best I've seen for a Plank. I would quote it here, but I don't want to spoil the fun.

Here is the link I believe. Yes. Best description ever. Has a bid. Guess someone thinks it’s worth throwing $500 at it. Beautiful card. Great scan. Slightly questionable seller

Nothing like getting right to the point with the description!

Good catch Sean. Great description and no doubt the type of card worth buying from a zero-feedback seller.

Here is my question, and no doubt OT: PSA 7 vs 2.5? Gotta love grading.

The good ol' Harris Collection. If memory serves REA had some of these and called them trimmed.

Yeah. Like you needed another excuse to post yours! Punk!
All kidding aside, I never get tired of seeing that Plank. Absolutely awesome.

I'm curious what recent sales have looked like. T206 Resource has up through 2014 but has Plank sold more recently?

Ryan- love your Plank.

I've owned a few Harris cards over the years...as we now know, there were a fair share of them in the collection that were trimmed, unfortunately...but, many were not...just overgraded, however. This Harris Plank is pretty OC and has a stain on the back...not a true 7, IMO.

That was my feeling as well. It sure looks trimmed. That top right corner slopes upward like a ski jump.

I actually got one. Not as nice as yours for sure but I like it. Was quite a quest to get it!

I believe Mike Baker was still there when PSA graded the collection. If so, not his finest hour.

You really get a sense of the passion this guy has for the hobby by reading that description.

Well there is nothing in his description that is demonstrably false, so you have to hand it to him for his honesty.

Well, the card has been taken down with no explanation. Who could've seen that coming?

Do you mean a zero feedback seller can't sell a ~500K card on EBay?

He can not, particularly in a case like this where the seller doesn't own the card that he's auctioning. My guess is that the true owner contacted ebay.

Former head grader at PSA then Global. When he was good, he was very, very good, as the ditty goes.
