July 4th 1939......Yankees Stadium......Lou Gehrig's farewell speech.

"Fans, for the past two weeks you have been reading about a bad break I got. Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth.”

The video and speech give me chills---One of my favorite players---I read a few of his bio's and what a wonderful man he was. I cant imagine what he went through at the end of his career trying to play the game of baseball.
