Default Zeenut Checklist

I've always loved the look of the Zeenut and Obak cards, but I am mostly a Yankees/HOF collector so I never found a good hook for collecting.

I've discovered that several players from the Zeenut and Obak series (and C46) played games for the Highlanders/Yankees. My favorites are those who played for only a cup of coffee that didn't get a chance to even cool down. At least two played one game,

It's been a fun and educational subset to chase.

I've been scanning that auctions and eBay but it's been one card at a time research. I enjoy the chase but never turn down a shortcut.

I checked my collection of VCBC magazines and Issue 12 has a checklist of Obak cards that shows their major league service. Very helpful but not a ton of players compared to Zeenut.

Sooooo

Does anyone know of a checklist of Zeenut cards organized to show their ML service?

Also, if anyone has PCL/NWL or C46 cards of players with at least one game with the Yankees I would love to hear from you!

Thanks! Duncan

Issues of the Old Judge contain research on the nearly 1450 players, thanks to Buck Barker and Don McPherson. They identify which players had major league experience. From there, team specialists will have to separate out which players played for which Major League clubs.

There are a few longtime team specialists who have compiled their own lists, but none of those are digitize... that I'm aware of. Good luck

I just reposted a thread that might just barely help out, but would require a fair amount of digging still, and obviously is not the complete 1450 or so player listing Mark mentioned. I used that list to create my list.

Good luck!
