Default Uncatalogued E104-3s?

Posted By: robert a

The list of tracked caramel cards that Greg included in a recent post included reported ebay sales of:

E104 Nadja Caramel Bailey STL and
E104 Nadja Type 3 Mike Doolan.

Anybody familiar with these examples?
Could be flukes I guess if someone thought they had e104s but were simply e90-s.

I rememeber when the Bailey came up for sale, it wasn't an E104. It was an E92 Nadja.

I can't say 100% on the Doolan but I will assume the same error was made.

Pete.
Right after I posted, I figured that was what happened.

The title of the Doolan was specifically e104 Nadja Type 3 Mike Doolan.
Not sure how someone would miscontrue that with e92 but whatever.

Since I've already told some people in the chatroom already, here are the e104-3s I have. All 3 have Nadja backs

Looking at Pete's checklist on his site, it appears that e104-3s are almost exclusively Giants, Phillies and Tigers. The exceptions seem to be Chase and Nicholls. The 4 e104-3s I have are all from these teams.

I like to sit outside drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Chase played for the Yankees in 1910 and didn't play for the Giants until 1919. Unless the date of the set has changed radically, he should be a Yankee at the time of issue.
