1939 Baseball Calendar Question
I am more of a lurker on the board, but I have a question about this calendar I ran into at an area store. -I realize the picture isn’t the greatest— What is the market for this type of calendar and are there reprints I should look out for. Thanks in advance for your help and input

Hi-
That looks original to me. The poster is actually double sided (the reverse has a lot more text). Generally, the ones with the car dealership ad goes for about 100-200 (probably closer to 100 in the condition you show). REA sold one with a Coke ad for about 3K recently. I had an example in excellent condition fail to sell at auction for 150 recently (car dealership at top like this one). A fellow board member has a website that shows multiple versions (Google 1939 baseball poster or centennial baseball poster to see more examples). I am not aware of any reprints. Alan |

Thank you Alan. I saw that site last night before I made this post and was very impressed. The guy was asking $150 and I got him down to $100 with no problem. I’ll provably try to do a bundle purchase and try for $75. I appreciate the help as I am obviously not familiar with this type of item. 🙂

To get back to the question. I haven't seen too many reprints of calendars other than the biggest HOF'ers. That doesn't mean there isn't one for an inexpensive player. Good luck with it.
