His last game ticket. He went 8 innings and struck out 12 Nats, only 3 hits. Won 1-0.

Really a tragic loss!
24 and on top of his game.
12+ strikeouts per 9 innings in 2016- one of the best 4 K ratio's in MLB history!

Here's a screen capture of the very last pitch he threw... a 90.6mph changeup to Washington's Daniel Murphy, who grounded out to end the top of the 8th inning.



And here's Fernandez entering the dugout afterward. Note the image on the video board of his family cheering... little did they know they have just seen his final Major League performance...
