Default 1936 National Chicle fine pen

Hope I am posting this in the right forum. Wondering if we have an expert on the forum who could help on a question about the 36' chicle fine pens . My question is ( sorry can't post scan printer not working) on the card "Big Bosses Clash " who is the catcher in the picture just to the right of the sliding Dykes ? I'm thinking it looks like Lombardi , any help on this will be greatly appreciated . Thanks , Brett

I think he's correct about Cochrane.

In 1934, 5 and 6 Dykes was a player / manager for the White Sox, and Cochrane was player / manager for the Tigers.

I don't think Lombardi managed a major league team, and that catcher is about the right size for Cochrane, too thin to be Lombardi. Face looks like Cochrane.

I thought I had one of those, and found it in the first box I looked in (for once). When I saw the post I thought of the image that had Durocher arguing, but Leo wasn't managing back then so I knew I was thinking of the wrong image. Here's mine.

Yes that's the one I was talking about. Thanks again for the info. The Durocher one you are talking about I picked up recently as well that one was fairly easy as it gives a nice close up in what looks like him getting in an umpires face . Brett
