Default 1965-66 California Angels Pinbacks

I've had these buttons for a long time. I doubt they were highly collectible as there wasn't much star power on this team and I just don't come across them. On the rim, it says you can buy more buttons by sending $0.50 to Canteen Corp. at the Angels stadium. These players careers only intersected in 65' and 66'. It may be a long shot but I'm wondering if anyone has an Angels program from these years that may have a souvenir ad showing which players may have been available. Thanks for any help...
Andy

Those are pretty cool! I’d love to see a checklist. I think if Paul Muchinsky had had any, they would have made “the book.”

Default Angels

Hi Rob,
Yeah, I was kinda thinking the same thing. I have no Angels programs but your Giants programs sure have some nice deals if we could go back in time. Mays bobbleheads for how much?

Mays bobbleheads started at a buck but skyrocketed to a buck and a half.

I have had the Chance and Fregosi. I could only find a picture of the Fregosi. I have never seen the Knoop before.

These were probably put out around the same time. Possibly, these players exist on a button as well.

Hi Andy,
I agree that there are probably more players to this little sub set but they seem to be scarce. I also have a few but I dont really look for them that often.. Good luck with the Hunt!

Nice pins and Very nice pennants. But as you can see from the playets hats on the pennents they are before 1965 when the name chasnged from LA Angels to California Angels. Which makes them early and very cool.and in Great shape.. I always have a soft spot for fans who collect / support teams that don't find a lot of success on the field. When I was a boy from late 1960's to early 1970's it was tough being a Yankee fan. And yet those first games and the players I still cherish and collect.

Thanks Al...

Nice pennants, those player photos match the buttons from a few years earlier. I sold my 5 last year but had this duplicate of Thomas. I recognize the poses on McBride and Pearson as the same as on these B&W buttons.

There are several PM10s of Klu.

Thanks, Mike. Was wondering if any were made during his time with the Angels, Pirates or White Sox?

Don't have one. Check Paul's book.

I believe those would have been from 1966. That was the Angels first year at Anaheim Stadium. Before that they played at Dodger Stadium.

Beautiful pins & pennants. I still refer to the Angels as the California Angels.
