Default Opinion on SGC 84 Play Ball George Sisler

Posted By: PASJD

To my eyes it looks like there is a slant to the top edge but not a comparable one to the bottom edge, as one would see in a diamond cut or if the image was just tilted. On the back it seems the printing is at an angle to the top edge but basically parallel to the bottom edge. Any opinions?

back bottom-left is definitely higher than the bottom-right (as you look) as for the front... bottom looks good but the top left has more border than the top right...have seller measure card on both edges, couldnt hurt.

The problem to me looks like the top-bottom centering. The difference in distance from border to edge moving from left to right is probably the same on the bottom as it is on the top, but due to the centering the percent difference is much greater (and the difference therefore more noticeable) on the top.

I looked at this card, and I think that what you are seeing is an optical illusion. There is no odd cut, it is just centered to the top and to the right, which is why it received a "7" instead of a higher grade.

There is certainly a pronounced difference in size of the top border when comparing it on the right side to the left. It is hard to tell but the bottom border may have the corresponding tilt as well.
