always fun to see what everyone is picking up - Congrats on that Lajoie Nelson, it's a really example.

I'm really happy to add these two cool cards to my collection... Who knew McGraw batted lefty? I never thought about but i can't think any other card of him that shows him batting. Pointing yes. Proudly wearing a sweater sure - but none batting that I can think of.

Picked up my first ever T206 and some good type cards from a fellow board member with the best Evers collection around. The E98 has some minor back damage which kept it from a higher grade. Thanks Mike.

David the E98 is gorgeous! Congrats Nelson, huge pickup!

This has been a huge month for me. I got a SGCA Cobb cracker jack and now this....I've been collecting the cracker jack set for 10 years now... aprox 3/4 of the way through now... I've been dreaming of owning this card since I was about 10 years old... (now 31)

That's an iconic set Erick. Knocking the Jackson off your list is a huge step. Congrats.

Erick,

Grats on the Jackson!!! I remember how great I felt when I got mine. There's nothing much better (cardwise anyway) than the feeling you get when you knock a big one you've been wanting for a long time off your list and have it in your hand. Best,

Kenny

Nelson,

In answer to your question, a "whale" is slang for a High-roller at a casino. The next time I see you at a baccarat table, I will wave up there on my way to the 5/10 NL hold-em tables. Great card.

Many thanks to JeremyW for this Smith cabinet. He still has some great deals left on BST.

Nelson: In the context of our card collecting hobby, a "whale" is a collector who has a high-end collection and can afford to bid on the most expensive cards such as Wagners and Planks and the marquee items in REA. I meant it as a compliment but with tongue in cheek. Your Lajoie is a most excellent pickup.

Nelson, I know English is not your first language, so to be clear, I thought David was making a compliment as was I. A whale at a casino or card auction could be considered somewhat derogatory, but I think most would think it was funny. Charles Barkley is a casino whale, Wonka is a card whale. A whale to me is anyone who places a bid one increment higher than I was willing to place.

Nice 1927 Harry Hooper and really like the Exporters score card. Here are some more OJs. The 2 on the right are skinned, but as my grandfather used to say...what the dipptey dupp...

Picked up Fred Mitchell and upgraded my Johnny Butler to complete my run of the catchers in the C46 Imperial Tobacco set.

Moose is looking a little Grim, factory blank back but writing likely not. Both came from a large find of T cards that included a new to market Plank!

Thanks to Robert for selling me the Smith he just got and a great deal too, because my pose is the one looking at the ground and it always bothered me. It also is my 350th Old Judge card! A milestone
