Default a bit of trivia for a Monday night...

This player played in the majors before the US entry into WW II, and claims to be the first player to field 1.000 playing in every inning of every game one season. Who's the player, and which season. I'll ask Leon to give the winner his scanner quarter (but don't hold your breath on getting it).

Danny Litwiler 1942?

He was the first player to go an entire season without making an error, playing in 151 games that year, but that may not have been every game the Phils played that year.

Right you are, David.

I didn't recall that, and I even had a card that Mr. Litwhiler had sent me with that on the back. I was looking through some stuff and saw it...

Let me know if Leon gives you that quarter.
