Default Superbowl MVP choices

It must be purely fan voting. I just can't see Brady as MVP of the game.

I'd go with Matthews. Without him the score is totally different at the half and while he only had four catches, One that set up a TD a TD and I think another that set up a score is a hard line to beat.

If it must be someone from the winning team, then it has to be Butler. No int, no win. Lynch runs it in on one of the next two plays.

I thought it was a sportswriter's vote. NE had basically no run game, without Brady the interception would have made no difference, the Seahawks would have been kneeling on the ball somewhere else on the field. Brady accounted for all 28 points and it was barely enough. They had to throw it over 50 times, Seattle shut down the run.

A lot of things happen and a lot of players deserve credit. That being said, Brady put up 328 yds against arguably the best defense in the nfl and he set a Super Bowl record for completions. Oh yeah, four tds to boot. Yeah, he's the MVP.

Default Mvp

There have been games that the QB has been named the MVP almost by default but I thought tonite was a no doubter. Brady had little run help and Seattle was in his face all nite. At 37 he really played his ass off and the Pats needed everything he could give them. Great win !!!!!

I wanted Edelman to get it, but expected Brady. Lost in the Seattle play call SNAFU, is the fact Brady led a 10 pt 4th Qtr comeback. That's unprecedented in SB history. I'm pretty sure the biggest comeback ever was a 10-0 2nd quarter deficit by the Redskins in 1989, so for Brady to lead that in the 4th against the best defense of this era (2000's) is amazing. That 3rd and 14 on their 2nd to last drive was so Brady.. pressured, shuffles up slightly in the pocket to buy time, and throws a dart.
