Do you know anything else about this ticket? I have a similar one and did some research on it. It looks like the House of David rented the Monarchs' lighting system for barnstorming. I can't help but wonder if these stubs are House of David exhibitions where they used the Monarchs lighting, but the Monarchs weren't actually playing.

What a great month for pickups!

Great stuff everyone... I especially love the Orange Crush Sign, the Ty Cobb Fan and the Pirates Flannel.

And Brock... that plaque is so cool. Usually these figural plaster plaques have chips/cracks, but yours looks amazing. I specifically look for this oddball stuff (and have done so for 3 decades). But have never seen that version. Super cool display piece and a GREAT find!

Thanks Mark. If you’ve never seen one I know it must be super scarce. These little plaster and chalk ware pieces just didn’t hold up to the test of time I suppose.

I've been looking for an exceptional early glove for a while and my patience has paid off. Thanks to Tim Whitman for making this beautiful webless crescent pad glove available to me. Pictures don't do it justice. The leather is as soft as the day it was made. It measures about 8.5 x 8 in.

I couldn't help but think the same thing to be honest. The KC Monarchs lighting system was fairly advanced for the day but nothing compared to today's lights.

that is a GREAT item. But I'm pretty sure that it does not say that it is a foul ball. It says that it was a fowl ball. Maybe it hit a bird in mid-flight?

Really out of my collecting world...and so I have very little knowledge on these...but had to have these two being it was the Braves franchise.

I'm very happy that I was able to recently upgrade my HOF Jim Palmer no-hit ticket from 8/13/69 @ Baltimore.
Any ticket to this game is exceedingly scarce.

This full ticket to Palmer's no-hitter is the only one that I have ever seen in 45 years of collecting the theme.

As per my usual routine, I played "free Willie" and de-slabbed this beauty!

This roll of 500 stickers appears to have been used in the manufacturing of the 1971 Three Rivers Stadium models. However, the text on the stickers differs from that on the models I have seen. I thought there were three variations of the scoreboard now it appears that there is a version with the Pittsburgh Pirates text on the infield. I know it's silly but now I will be searching for one of those.

That monument is placed near a major intersection in Hoboken, and each corner has a large stone "base" in the sidewalk. It's pretty cool.

Side note- the monument is not on the exact spot of the first game...that's about 1000 feet closer to the waterfront (right under Maxwell Place), where I used to live.
