Default Need help on SCD 8.5

Ricks rare cards, www.rarecards.com, has a 1933 Goudey #181 Babe Ruth SCD 8.5. What do you think it would crossover to in a PSA or SGC holder? And what do you think of the card?

Thanks
fessgreg

I believe the board consensus is that if it's in a SCD blue label, it's probably trimmed. The "red label" is from the old Sports Collector's Digest and seems to be more reliable then the blue labeled SCD.

that Rick is smart enough to realize that if he could get it into a PSA 8 or SGC 88 holder, the card would sell for more money.

That should be the end of the discussion right there.

Maybe it's just my eyes, but the entire right border and the top most section of the left border look a little wavy to me. I don't think the risk here is that it will either cross at a PSA 8 or 7, I think the risk is that it will either be a PSA 8 or an "A."

I don't think it's just your eyes Matt. Looks like it to me too.

Personally, I would take a pass.

IMHO, too good to be true. Are the borders of this issue that much wider top-to-bottom as they are side-to-side? None of mine are, although they are not in as great condition.

You will have a difficult time purchasing anything from rarecards.com.
Rick passed away several months ago.

If it's a red label 8.5, it might get a PSA-9
Wonder what it would sell for in PSA-9?
