Default Auto ID

I went though probable 40 auto'd bats today and was able to ID and match with an auto ticket or COA all but one...Whose autograph is this?

Also ballpark values for bats with COAs / auto tickets, some with photos of signing, all pretty unquestionably good....all are autograph model bats, no gamers or anything extreme. Nice Sharpie sigs.

Mantle
Williams (UDA)
DiMaggio
Alex Rodriguez
Mize

There are several dozen more with names like Robinson (brooks and frank) Stargell, Santon, Slaughter, Mays, Aaron, Schmidt, Snider...but I figure the above are probably the bigger tickets...don't know much about autos, I'm afraid.

Many of the bats are old enough (signed in the 90s) that there were no premiums attached to autographing bats....

If it can't be read, and he's not famous enough to have a "recognizable" scrawl, why should anyone care who wrote it?
(And I use the word "wrote" quite loosely.)

Dude, if you don't have anything constructive to say, why say anything? He is just asking for help, not some belittling comment from you.

The only person I'm "belittling" is the player who "signed" the bat.
Dude.

To me, that looks like someone tried to do an Andruw Jones, but I'm not sure.

Its definitely NOT Andy Laroche.

Edit- This is definitely Andruw Jones (or an attempted Andruw Jones ), but it is a very early signature of his as he has changed his autograph in recent years.

Heres a comparison picture...

yeah, definitely Andruw Jones or a fake of him, not sure....

But I don't see why anyone would be belittling Jones. This guy isn't what he used to be but hit about 400 hrs by his early 30's, had some W.S. heroics as an 18 year old and was a great centerfielder. That's not someone I'd call insignificant or dismiss as garbage, imo....

All that, but he never learned to write his own name.

It is Andruw and he did learn to write his name.

I guess not every major-leaguer is accomplished in the the art of choligraphy.....

That's a nice looking stylized signature in my opinion and better than 1/2 of the athletes today. I really don't understand the issue here....

Congratulations! You managed to spell that correctly!
BTW, here's a postcard the Babe sent to his friends at St. Alban's Golf Club when he was in LA filming "The Pride of The Yankees." I'm in good company!

Always end sentences with a period, Penz. But you're getting there. Keep plugging.
(BTW, Forum rules require that if you're gonna call people names, you must post your own full name--first and last. Welcome to Net54!)

Cut rate? It's one of the most expensive colleges in the country! Get your facts right! If you're planning on sending a kid here, you'd better have some deep pockets. (And if you had attended yourself, you probably would know what "keep plugging" means.)

(Again, full name please. Forum rules, you know.)

And you forgot the period, again. Tsk, tsk.
