Coming close to completeing a set is so nerve wracking. I need the following cards to complete sets. I would like to trade / purchase / combo of both for:

E90-3 (any condition): Gandil

E94 (any condition): Speaker

E126 American Caramels (any condition):
7. Ward 9. Toporcer 13. Galloway 17. Cobb 28. Walter Johnson 38. Babe Ruth (Gd or better)

My trade bait:
E102 Chase (SGC 40)
E97 Devore (SGC 40)
E126 Ruth (SGC 10) - Will only trade after I find an upgrade

Plus I have a "few" other E-cards if interested. Let me know what you would want for the cards I need.

same old story with me. Need some oscure Wild West cards and am full tilt into the player. If you have low grade cards you want to sell cheap, LMK. Only criteria is that there be no heavy crease through the face and the name on the card is legible. Paper loss and actually chunks of the cards missing are fine as long as the above criteria is met

I'm looking buy/trade for any lower grade 'T' or 'E' cards primarily of Cy Young, but would consider other HOFers as well. Email me with what you have, and I will respond with a list of what I can offer in return. Thanks.

card of Moses Fleetwood Walker (most be corporial and not imaginary),
Old Judge Radbourne portrait (picture must be fine--rest, negotiable)
Mayo Ward, Ewing, Brothers (ex+ or better)
Old Judge Pud Galvin, not swinging bat (better than VG)
Scrapps: White, Hanlon, Welch, O'Neill, Caruthers, and one other.

T202s: need 43. All "Just Before the Battle" COMMONS, "Engel in a Close Play" (Speaker) " Evers Makes a Safe Slide" (Tinker--Chance). Cobbs: "A Desperate Slide," "Good Work at Third," ..Steals Third (Cobb--Moriarty). Bunch of commons...
"Comrads all around me lying
Filled with thoughts of home and God,
Well they know that on the morrow
Some will sleep beneath the sod.

Just before the battle, Mother,
I am thinking most of you..."

--fragment of Civil War song, for which 10 T202s are named.

Only card I've ever seen of--I believe it's both Walker brothers Fleetwood and Welday. Have no idea how many there are, or where to start asking.

I think it's Toledo, of the AA. I know the team played the White Stockings because the first time Cap said "no; Negroes, no play," the White Stockings were threatened with a forfeit, but the second time, the Walkers were booted.

There've been so many books about the death of Jim Crow (insofar as...); why doesn't someone write one about the birth of it?

Assuming I do well in Lipset's auction, I will still need:

N172 Bid McPhee
Fan Craze Ban Johnson
Any card of Leon Day

(And I was just kidding about that "stay away from my cards" comment in the Lipset thread).

I'm also looking for:

M116 Joe Wood.
T207 Wood, Cicotte, McKechnie.
Cracker Jack Cicotte.
Zeenuts of: Arbuckle, Heilmann, Coveleski, Vance, Lombardi, Crawford, and the Paul Waner that shows the old cars in the background.
M-101-4/5 Thorpe.
E-96 Baker.
E-135 Hornsby.
Ned Hanlon as a manager (Fan Craze or W600).
W600 HOFers with unusual teams.
Well cut W590 HOFers.

Thanks,
Paul

Did someone ask me recently about obtaining from me a Matty T206 Portrait?

I know, I know...I NEVER sell anything. But I have several T-206 portraits, and I actually have a PSA-2 portrait that looks very, very nice (I can send a scan). It has the corner wear of a PSA-2, but the surface is very nice and the cards presents tremendously well for a 2-grade card.

I'd probably consider selling it if anyone was still interested. But, I think I got that request while I was in North Carolina a couple weeks ago, and I can't remember who requested this of me.

Hit me up before I change my mind. <laugh> Scott is probably choking to see me offer anything for sale. LMAO...

I won't continue to beat this dead horse indefinitely, but thought I'd mention for a second time my interest in completing my collection of vintage cards of Jewish ballplayers. Thanks for prior responses and any further leads on the following players would be most appreciated: J(onah) Goldman - 1931 Four-on-One Exhibit; Jim Levey - 1933 Tattoo Orbit; Sam Nahem - 1941 St. Louis Cards team issue; Phil Weintraub - 1936 World Wide Gum and 1937 Four-on-One Exhibit; and, the most obscure, Guy Zinn - 1914 Baltimore News. Thanks again for any assistance.

I have over 50 listings currently running - the ones I started today are mostly t206 HOF'ers and a few print variations (orange instead of red background, etc.).

Also just listed a T5 Pinkerton checklist, a Pinkerton catalog, Polar Bear catalog, and various T206 and Goodwin & Co. coupons, also a Pinkerton coupon.

All under ebay id "runscott".

If you want to pay $2,500 and set a new price record for a common -- I'm your man!

Otherwise, I think I'll hold onto my example for awhile longer.

Hello all,

I just wanted to mention that I have posted a great baseball card reference book on e-bay this week the auction ends on Sunday evening. The book was printed in the 80's I believe. It features individual pictures of every major card issured from the 1800-s up to 1955 Bowman. Every set is here N28, N143, N127,N248,Scrapps,N300s, odd stuff that I am not to familiar with like N566, BC760s,caramel cards, T204, T205s, T206s, T207s, T3s, T201s, cracker jacks, strip cards, play ball, goudeys etc, etc. The dust jackets is worn and has some rips but the book itself is mint. I hope someone on this board can make a good home for this great book.

If anyone on this board collects caramel Boxing cards is am selling my E80 Jack Johnson.

Condition - It's in a SGC 20 holder - has 2 pin holes - thus the grade - centered, one top, one bottom. Without the pin hole it would have graded a 40 (just my opinion).

Email me if you are interested before it goes on ebay.

Disappointed by the low grade? You can wait for the next one but in my experience I've only seen 4 offered in 20 years and this is one of them.
