Default T205 Drum Population report

Posted By: Brian Weisner

I know Lew LIPSET listed Hindu as being the toughest back in one of his auctions, but I still think Drum is the real toughie. How many T205 Drum's are out there?

Default T205 Drum Population report

T205 Drum of Tommy Leach is listed in the 2000
REA auction. James Verrill had one for auction
quite a while ago, I can't recall the player,but
he may have seen other examples as well.

It's tough to get any count, as type cards like
this reside individually in collections, and as
such any number is pure speculation. I recall
advanced collectors discussing a speculative
number of perhaps 4 dozen T205 Drum's.

Default T205 Drum Population report

I've owned two over the years - the last one I remember was Downey. I would have to agree with Tbob (around 35). With the "find" of T205 Hindus a while back, Drums are much more scarce (and Lipset was WAAAAY off with his estimate on the # of T205 Hindus in his auction - guess he was trying to HYPE the card to bring more money).

I won the T205 Drum in Lipset's auction. It is only the third one I've seen in 11 years. I own two Hindu backs already, but they are pretty rare too. I think Drum is a little tougher.
