Default E125 American Caramel Die-Cuts

Hi, Im helping a lady with a few E125's she found. She wanted to know the rough value of a few of them.

What would you think these New York Giants cards are roughly worth?

My estimates.......

Mathewson $1,500-$2,000 (high book is $18,000)
Murray $1,200-$1,500
Seymour $1,200-$1,500

Do you agree????

E125 Mathewson

E125 Murray

E125 Seymour

PS. She has the whole set of New York Giants players (no other teams). There must have been a way you could send in for the complete team set, or maybe the original collector only liked the NY cards???

Hi Frank,
I would say higher on the Murray and the Seymour... especially if the tabs haven't been folded back. I'd say 2000-2500. Be well Brian

Frank,

Any chance that there was an E125 Boxing card of Jim Jeffries in her find?

Hi Andy, all she has is NY Giants (the set of 11 I believe), and most have heavy damage like the Mathewson or even worse. The cards pictured above are the best ones.

I knew a lady that had about 8 E125's. I bought a few of them. They were all of Seymour. I would value him a little bit lower but not too much....regards

Matty may be about right, but the other two are probably around $800+ unless the market has substantially gone up in the last six months on these.

We would certainly pay $1850.00 for the best condition card in
the lot.

If I were the seller, I would wait until I could get a mega return.

And become a winner, Brian. Don't forget that part. Winning.

Now go out there, collect cards and kick butt.

Fellas,

Unfortunately, the Murray and Seymour are by far the most common of all e125s.

The pictured Mathewson would make the tally at roughly 5 or 6 known. Not one Mathewson extant has both tabs attached.

Brian,

<<If I were the seller, I would wait until I could get a mega return.>>

Clearly, you don't see the opportunity, whilst others do.

That was my thinking, but they are worth what the market bears, so apparently we have a minor bidding war going on between various "groups".
