I hate it, just hate it, when a seller cancels an auction just before an auction closes, especially when there has already been bids. Ebay should keep track of this action, the same as bid retractions.

im guessing it was something you were bidding on elliot? maybe you could include that seller in our rate the sellers poll that we are supposed to have.... anyone elliot doesnt like i dont like (except the guy who got me my jack martin autograph,sorry elliot )

cancelled his auctiion with 50 minutes left to go, I thought it WAS illegal to cancel an auction when reserve (if any) had been met. I suppose you could say Uncle Joe suddenly developed a fondness for the card and didn't want you to sell it any more, but I really did think you couldn't juast cancel it on a whim.

I was naive enough to think Ebay wouldn't let you do this but Pete and others enlightened me that it can and is done. The odd thing is that you can't retract a bid less than 24 hours before an auction ends but you can end your auction with 10 seonds to go. I've never ended an auction early when a card had bids but some day I might if someone I know makes an offer too good to refuse, as the Godfather used to say.

with 8 hours left to go, and e-Bay will not turn a hair. It stays on your record for 6 months (NOT the auction, and what you said, etc., but just the simple fact of the retraction), and then disappears completely....
