Default Did anyone win anything cool at Huggins and Scott last night???

...just curious.....seemed to be some good prices (for buyers)....maybe auction overload has set in?

I bid on several lots and they all went higher than I wanted to go. It was a good auction but, the stuff I was on, went for market and above.

I was tickled pink to get a decent looking 1960 World Series game #7 ticket stub at a price I could afford. I will sell the others to help lower the costs involved.

So youuuuuuu outbid me on that. Went very cheap. If I didn't have a softball game yesterday (and forget), you would have had some major competition on that picture haha. Congrats!

I did win a 1917 Cicotte 8x10 from the 1917 World Series (thrown in among 4-5 other pictures) for a steal though...

Thanks! It's nice to not be outbid for once. On the other hand, whoever outbid me on the Red Sox advertising calendar go join a softball team!

Wow, that 1916 calendar was a steal. I didn't look too closely at this auction, but wish I had since I got shutout in the REA. When I did a search for "Red Sox Calendar" on this latest auction to see what you guys were talking about it also came up with this lot.

https://hugginsandscott.com/cgi-bin/...l?itemid=27329

I can't believe H&S would list that lot. That Ruth Red Rocks calendar is a fantasy item.

Yea....they obviously missed that one. Hope the winning bidder is happy.

Wow, my family has been tied up with things and I forgot about the auction, but that was more than I thought for the Zeenuts w/coupon. Are 1916 Zeenuts harder to find with coupons than other years?

Everything I was interested in was bid up well beyond what I was interested in paying before extending bidding even started. I sat it out.

Many others know more about Zs, but I collected Z's with coupons for a number of years. Anything before 1923 with a coupon was/is really scarce. From what I remember, for the 1916s, they were mid pack in scarcity.

I found a small group of Zs a few years back and here were those totals below....
Again, these cards were/are not easier because there were more in this small find...

E136 Zeenut '13 (6) all with coupon
E136 Zeenut '14 (23) 6 with coupon 17 without coupon
E137 Zeenut '15 (67) 24 with coupon w/McMullen 43 w/o coup.w/Risberg, Lefty Williams
E137 Zeenut '16 (1) with coupon
.

Memorabilia, but I assume it's ok to squeeze in here...

Program from Mantle's MLB debut...and Fletcher Check from 1927 (thanks for heads-up Mike!).

Won this Notebook cover (bottom left). I believe the photo used is from 1908 when Ty Cobb was playing in the windy city (pictured top). He was at the Southside park which was home to the White Sox from 1900-1910. The bottom right photo was from the same park and photo angle but from the 1907 season.

Do the final sold listings include the BP? I was also watching earlier and thought it would be nice to bid on some of those but held off.

I felt this belonged in Oklahoma., head of the Cherokee Nation and the largest Cherokee population.

They do not include the BP. I won the Walker and the Hatfield. I was going hard after the Black and McDougald but they ended up getting to prices commensurate with eBay IMO so I bowed out.
