Default For the Jays collectors and/or fans of the pullover MLB jerseys of the 1970's

Thought some might get a kick out of seeing this unique, one season style.

A new work colleague played in the Blue Jays farm system in 1979 and '80 and was handed down, John Mayberry's big league club jersey for his use. Has "Blue Jays" added over the "Toronto" chest lettering, but has original tags and numbering.

Thanks and I agree! It is staying with my colleague and his family (rightly so) and I can't (wouldn't) try and pry it from him for my collection.

Default Blue Jays Jersey

Great jersey and thanks for sharing. Same thing was done by the White Sox with some of their softball style jerseys when they were used by their minor league club in Glens Falls.

Cool jersey. Mayberry was one of my favorites as a kid when he was with the Royals.

That's really cool...my Father Jesse Jefferson had that same jersey...Looking for it myself....the one I saw awhile ago...had the Blue Jays nameplate separate from the actual jersey. Really cool!!

I wish more teams would've done this, it certainly would make restoration easier.

That's for sure... I have a Ralph Garr White Sox Jersey with the floppy collar. When sent to the minors, they put a nameplate over the embroidered NOB "GARR".

The nameplate came off with no sign of ever having been there, thus revealing the originally embroidered "G A R R". So the jersey is once again completely unaltered, with the exception of some practically invisible stitch holes that you can't even see without magnification.

Wish all teams did it this way!
