My son just IM'd me from ESPN and told me that.
I do not know what the cause was.

I was at the Cubs convention last weekend and noticed he wasnt there...sent up red flags but was hoping it was just a bug or something. A sad day for everyone...a great baseball player, an even better human being. RIP

One of the best, a true ambassador of baseball and decent human being. I can't remember anything bad ever being said about Mr. Cub. A model for all ballplayers.

A while back Graig posted this Ernie Banks work of his, which frankly I fell in love with. Graig, I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of posting it again...just all too appropriate to show it again now. I can't think of anything better that captures what Banks was all about.
