Default Another gtreat USPS experiance

I am one of those old fashioned people that still make TTM cash payments for cards. I figure if I trust the mail to get me the card to me I can trust them to send the money for the card.

Today was a new low for me with the USPS. When I told the nice lady behind the counter that my package was supposed to be delivered last Friday she took the tracking #. When she returned after several minutes her response was it has departed a sorting facility and there is noting we can do. The said I should have the recipient go to their PO to see if the package is there.

In the last 1 1/2 years I have had some kind of problem on at least 20% of $/cards I have sent out. Luckily everything has eventually showed up. Just pi$$e$ me off that I have had more problems in the last 1 1/2 years than the previous 20 years combined.

I feel your pain. I've learned the hard way that USPS is a GREAT service as long as 1) you don't care whether your item ever gets there, 2) you don't mind that their tracking is horrible and they often don't even know where items are, 3) their "priority" mail has no guarantee on what day it will arrive, and 4) you think it's funny when the mail carrier decides to sign for your items for you and then jam them into a mailbox that's too small.

Love it!

The package I was complaining about actually arrived at its destination today. I have not heard if the package was empty or not yet but atleast something got delivered.

The counter worker at the PO today said sometimes small bubble mailers just get left in the bottom of mail sacks. Then when that sack is used again the package gets found and back into the system.
