Default Stolen Items, Seattle, WA

There was a break-in at Ebbets Field Flannels retail store in Pioneer Square, Seattle, late night August 22nd.

A few of my original items on loan were stolen from a locked display case:

1957 Seattle Americans Hockey jersey (Western Hockey League)
1947 Seattle Athletics (Pacific Coast Basketball League) jersey and pants.

Pictures are attached.

If anyone hears of anything, or spots anything on eBay, Craig's List or elsewhere, please get in touch.

Much appreciated.

Default Hoping for their return

Sorry to hear of this, Dave. No good deed goes unpunished. While we don't stick too many threads to the top of the page this one deserves to be. It is somewhat time sensitive since it only happened last night (as of this post). Maybe someone will see it and see your items elsewhere. Stranger things have happened. Good luck on their return.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the assist Leon, for the comment Mike, and for putting it out there on the Facebook groups, Brian. Much appreciated.

Thanks also to other friends who have reached out with a kind word in the midst of this discouraging sequence of events, and others that have helped get the word out here regionally. It helps from a practical standpoint, AND with my mental hygiene

The Americans jersey is the only one I'm aware of that's surfaced in the hobby, and items from the short-lived professional Pacific Coast Basketball League are exceptionally scarce.

Really hoping this helps in getting them back!

Thanks again.

Sorry to hear the news - I have passed the information along within the hockey community here on the east side and will let you know if anything bubbles up on the hockey jersey anyway. Hopefully it all turns up safe and sound.

I'd send an email to all the major auction houses as well as photos, just in case someone tries selling them to an auction.

Were these items in the case and were the other items also taken (like the Totums jersey)? Could it have been an inside job?

Thanks again for the good wishes and efforts, everyone.

Ryan: It wasn't an inside job. It was a smash and grab, and there is good video footage of the thief. What I've shown are the only three items taken from the case, but store inventory was also stolen, mainly jerseys.

Hopefully you will get your stuff back. I do assume there was insurance on your items, although it probably be less than your value.

Good luck

Same here, Dave...

So sorry to hear this happened yet again.

I'll keep a close eye out, and will keep fingers crossed that they apprehend these guys (to include confiscating all of "the goods"). Those are some killer Jerseys, and hope you get them back soon!

This is really too bad and I'm sorry for your loss of your items. Hopefully they'll be recoverable and the suspect(s) caught.

Keeping an eye out here in NE Florida..... the uniqueness of the items might make it easier to get them back (I hope).

Hopefully the stolen items will eventually get found. This thread has been stickied for a little over 30 days to try to help and is being unstuck . It can still be responded to in the future.
If anyone has any clues please let Dave know.

Perhaps Ebbets Field has insurance for this?
