Peter, you did "really badly" on your standardized tests, not "really bad."

They let you get away with grammar like that in your law school?

Ok, I can't resist....

"They let you get away with grammar like that in your law school?"

Is that a question? If so, shouldn't the sentence have started with the word "Did?"

I aint learned no good grammar myself...

IMHO, the link should be restored. When you've been slapped in the face, the best recourse is always to turn the other cheek. It shows who is the bigger person. Its also usually the sweetest revenge!

A declarative sentence can always be turned into a question. For example:

"I can't."

"I can't?"

"You're serious?"

Or, for some on the board who practice law in northern California:

"Your serious?"

Guys,

Since I've become a Net54 member, my grammar has improved a lot, so I'm all for Barry giving us more grammar lessons.

Barry,

I don't think this thread can get any more hijacked than it is, so I've got to ask you something that's been on my mind the entire season but especially during the playoffs: Is it just me, or does Kevin Youkilis look a lot like the guy in Seinfeld who was a friend of Jerry's, became a bookie and then couldn't pay off a bet Jerry made (via Kramer). And then Jerry accidently broke the guy's thumbs by slamming a trunk on his hands. I've got to search the 'Net to see whether I can find a photo.

The guy in Seinfeld is Lee Arenberg, he's been a friend of mine since 2nd grade. He's about a foot shorter and a foot wider than Youkilis, but there is a bit of a resembelance.

Funny, Anthony and I were exchanging Seinfeld emails just this past weekend and he told me about his childhood friend Lee. Yep, except for the height they sure look the same. The character Mike called Jerry a phony, but in a good way, as in "wow, that Michael Jordan is a real phony."

I don't think I'll ever be able to forget Susie -- ahhh. And most of all, I will never forget that one night.

That was Peterman's eulogy!

It's a funny episode because it makes absolutely no sense at all.
